Well, I'm right, due to a technicality in the way a formulated my answer. I never mentioned any other diplomatic penalties in my original post, I was only talking about the warmonger penalty. Now, I'm not sure how right the civ wiki is, but I think there are separate penalties for denouncing people and for going to war (warmongering).
