Hello i become thane of rifton and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Jarl dont give me the weapon of the hold!!!! i only get some crap low level entchanted dagger and mace from the jarl.... Maven is know the Jarl of rifton btw. i tryed some diffrent ways, that i read in some forums about the thane of rifton quest. i helped 5 people of the hold first, but no quest appears in my questlog, then i do the ...I can't become thane of Riften. After i complete the quest Skooma Trade and Disrupt the Skooma operations, i only recieve the weapon and the option to become thane does not appear. I try reload 5 times, someone PLEASE help me : (. If you began helping citizens before she became jarl, you may have to talk to the FORMER jarl to 'clear' the glitch.

So in the quest Season Unending i ended up giving riften to the imperials. Problem is prior to giving it to them, i was already thane of riften, and when i talk to maven black-briar she would just give a dialogue about how nice it is to have a throne.
