Lily is a playful, friendly and energetic 2-and-a-half year-old dog. She is great at playing fetch! She is available for adoption at Second Chance Animal Shelter and can possibly live with a cat and/or children over 10 years old. Lily was brought to SCAC at the beginning of March.Though incorporated as the Bennington County Humane Society, we changed our business name to Second Chance Animal Center in 2000 to better reflect our shelter philosophy and scope of services. We purchased our first shelter site in 1961 (Shaftsbury, VT), then built a new state-of-the-art facility in Arlington (VT) in 2018.Our adoption fees vary, generally up to $350 depending on the animal's breed, age, health, adoptability, and how much we have had to spend on them medically. All adoption fees are considered donations and go directly toward the medical care of our pets. Donations will be greatly appreciated as all our funding comes from our adoption fees ...
