Rebels in a way is more classic Star Wars, there's clear good and evil. The villains are huge, Inquisitors, Vader, Price, and of course Thrawn are great villains. The one area where Rebels is worse than TCW is that TCW was a Cartoon aimed at Teenagers and adults, Rebels is more pre-teens and teens.

My friend who isnt much of a Star Wars fan loved The Clone Wars and saw the entire thing but couldnt get through Rebels. Personally I thought Rebels had some amazing moments.
