The was an elderly lady in her 70s. Her husband had passed some years prior, her surviving children had nothing to do with her. She was very obviously not capable of caring for herself as you'll see. As her mental and physical state declined over the years she began piling trash in the unfinished basement.

Hanna/Kathy & Gary. Talk about two 'wonderful' people put together in the same episode. Everything about these two was 'urksome' and I don't even know what to say. I felt so sorry for Kathy, especially because she was so aware of his mistreatment but so stuck in the relationship in her mind. I am glad Dorothy was working with her, good pair.I know I shouldnt laugh but I thought it was funny when they started pouring the crap into the porta potty but soon realized they needed more so they had the sewer sucker guy come out with a "honey wagon" with the big suction hose designed to clean out septic systems and they were dumping the crap into a bucket and the guy had his hose in the bucket.No power, no plumbing, shit buckets etc. And when I was listening to a podcast about them, all I could think is that there’s no way it could be worse than that poop lady on Extreme Hoarders.
