I was jumping my jeep off when this started. When the shifter in Park and the transmission in park, the computer thinks the truck is in gear. Sounds like you over powerd your trans. If we had your TCM codes it would help pinpoint what may be the cause of your U0100 code. Your TCM is located on the fan shroud, drivers side, it's the one with a bunch of spikes on it.
