You need something that attracts flies interested in fruit and even then it's thought that these flies have very limited things that attract them. First and second year will have minimal fruit, year 3 it produces abundantly.Its a handsome tree, vigorous, tolerant of terrible soil and high temperatures. Cuttings root out fast and can immediately take chip bud grafts without problem. (see pic) It produced lots of delicious figs last year, but did experience some drop.
