For all intents and purposes, Osmumten’s Fang has been bugged since release. Rather than just re-rolling the player’s accuracy roll, the Fang is, in fact, re-rolling both components of an attack. It’s rolling for both accuracy and the monster’s defence, and if it fails, it rolls both attack and defence again.I tried this myself with and struggled a bit as an average PvMer. Was taking too much damage without an Ely. Also with the slower attack speed compared to Rapier you only have one tick to walk under to have the attacks be 2:1. With laggy worlds and only being an average player that was tough to accomplish. Did this as well in a duo, was getting ... As it scales with increased raid level, fang will likely start to shine at some point. It's good for high def with no def reduction. But keep in mind this pretty much means your whole team needs the fang since using something like rapier, scythe etc with no def reduction would be ass. Lance is better for most dragons, but not by a ton. Fang is better by a ton at any non-draconic boss or high def monster. If you plan on doing anything at all that isn't a dragon, get fang.
