Because they are OOS friendly and in a decent state, they get tons of applications and thus think they are better than they probably are. Don't get me wrong, we all apply there because we just want to go to medical school and I don't blame that, but it does seem to foster an attitude that does not match their ranking or reputations.

I felt a bit slighted as a CO native, we aren't a part of WWAMI so those are out, there are so few medical schools in our region, and CU doesn't really have an in state preference in practice.
