A Batholith is a large uprising of molten rock that doesn't reach the surface. Over millions of years the surface erodes, exposing the now cooled molten rock, aka granite. Due to stress relief, and other factors the granite breaks, and cracks.Andrew noted the similarities to the Montana Megaliths, USA and his observations that the sites in Japan had been "cleaned up".
