I've been running a compact Ariens 2-stage with a 2.7 horse Tecumseh engine since 1978. It throws dry snow 25-30'. I live in Central Michigan where we get 50-60" of snow/year. Only time my little Ariens won't cut it is when the plows drop 2' of road scrapings at the end of the driveway.
