Program Overview. The bachelor's degree in community health at the University of Kansas prepares students for career paths in a variety of public health, community-based and clinical settings. Community health is a versatile field that encompasses a wide variety of interests, career paths and opportunities to serve our communities. The Master of Public Health (MPH) is an internationally recognised qualification. The training we provide uses whole-system approaches to promote and enhance human health and wellbeing. This can include health promotion and disease prevention. You will develop the knowledge and skills essential for public health research, advocacy and practice.
