I'm working on a book about state symbols (Geobop's State Symbols) and have become intrigued by Kansas' quest for an official mineral, rock, etc. As an outsider, I think chalk is the obvious choice as state rock. The Haviland meteorite would make a great official "extra-terrestrial rock." Jelinite sounds cool, too.
