Homemade surface drive mud motor
well after looking into these mudmotors i have decided to build my own. save some money and have a fun project for the spring. i am looking to build a 25 hp short shaft surface drive. i am looking for some help. i have some ideas in my head and have been watching youtube videos getting more. the only thing i am stuck on is the gears and drive. belt driven, chain driven.First time starting the motor. Not completely done yet.

Hill props push my boat a little faster and get up quicker than a big blade. Also they don't wear as fast and are cheaper.
