Fusion 360 split body

I am trying to split a body into its 2 component, non touching sections but cannot figure out how to do this. It is for an injection mold and I need to get what is the cavity apart from the outside of the mold so I can join it to the top of the mold. I just do not understand how this is possible in Fusion 360.

Edit: solved! I split a body using a conic curve then moved the resulting bodies farther apart to get it to the dimensions I needed. I wanted to fill the resulting void in with solid to make my original body just stretched in a single dimension. I can't for the life of me get them to reconnect. I tried having the section active when exporting STL, and that did the whole component. Any ideas? The section analysis is applied to the whole model and not a specific component.

If you’re trying to use a body to cut a body, you need the Cut command, which is a variant of Join. you can't make all those elements into a single one, but you can select multiple profiles (in the same plane) in a single extrusion operation.
