So I spread all of my fleets to as many gateways as possible. The cache got stuck in a loop bouncing between two fleets. I sent all of my fleets to one of the two locations. Now my fleets are winning battles every day and gaining infinite xp and promising commanders.

Enigmatic Cache is the giant spinning cylinder that roams the galaxy scanning planets, during it's scan the planet it hovers over gets a research boost. I recently read Rendezvous from Rama and playing through Stellaris today the Enigmatic Cache event stood out as a cool reference to the book. Just wondering what other events, anomalies, etc, people have enjoyed which reference other sci-fi media? The Enigmatic Cache, or BALDOR as it calls itself, is a tubular entity that emerges from any Gateway or L-Gate once the mid-game year is reached, if any player empire is at peace, and sets course for the nearest empire that is not at war.
