I'm trying to decide what weapon to Infuse with fire and use for the early game while I find other weapons. I can't decide whether to focus on STR, DEX or a quality build either, I played pretty much nothing but STR in DaS1. Dex builds seem fun though. I used a Fire longsword (and eventually a 2nd infused with Deep) through my entire first ...looking for a good longsword build for ds1 remastered. so i just finished dark souls 3 and have been playing ng+ about 3 times now and i recently bought ds1 so since i loved the longsword in ds3 i decided that i want to use it in ds1 as well. any good builds that dont require the usage of fp or magic. Shoot for the below stats by end of ng ...With 99 luck and 515 Item discovery (99 luck, crystal sage rapier, gold serpent +3, and rusted coin) the drop rate for Sharp Gems seems to be about 1/6. I'd say roughly around 15% - 20%. At 99/99 str/dex it doesn’t descale any damage. It does more damage than heavy infusion, and refined.

Once your strength or dex gets into the high twenties and up, definitely re-infuse to something else. Make it raw put your upgrade stuff onto it. Put your levels into strength, upgrade a second straight sword class weapon with a heavy gem and any leftover upgrade materials.
