Has been sitting for about 8 months. Set switch to ON & full choke - run switch all the way over towards the choke. Won't start. However I put gas in the spark plug hole & it starts but dies out right away. Checked oil level (OK) pulled gas line & gas flows.

I took one of the covers off the generator head and a set of brushes are there.
