Take the Diagnostic Test. Placement Results and Retakes. AP Test Scores and Credit. Get Ready to Take the Diagnostic Test ALEKS PPL can be accessed online at any time. Each student who takes the diagnostic test through ALEKS PPL will be charged a $20 fee upon logging in, which covers 12 months of access to the Prep and Learning Module.ALEKS consists of three parts: An initial placement assessment (Required) A self-paced online review module (PPL) and practice progress assessments (Optional) Access to four additional assessments (Optional) Students should take the assessment as soon as possible to determine which math courses they are prepared to begin.
